My teaching style is personalized and modeled after the Suzuki method, which focuses on compassion, small step learning, and motivation.

Traditional flute lessons are recommended for students eight years or older who play in school band. Students learn how to read music, music theory, varying musical styles, as well as proper flute technique and tone.

Suzuki flute lessons are recommended for students as young as four or older students who do not play in school ensembles. Note reading and theory are slightly delayed in order to allow beginners to focus on style, technique, and tone. Beginners may find themselves less overwhelmed.
